Day 8

from Sketchtober by Patrick McMinn

/

about

From 10/8/2015:

Sometimes you work on a piece or a song for months and months, slowly chiseling away at whatever medium you're working with until it starts to vaguely resemble whatever idea or sound or texture you have banging around in your head.
And then, sometimes, you just stumble across a good thing, sit back, and allow it to exist. I don't even feel like I can take credit for this one, so I don't have any trouble liking it as much as I do. The right patch cables and knobs intersected with the right triggers, times, and samples. I just got to sit back and watch it all unfold, stepping in to make small adjustments and micro-edits.
