Here's another Kmart loop, slowed down, filtered, delayed.
I'm really finding my imagination captured by these tapes. I grew up tagging along with my parents to these big-box stores until I was old enough to stay home, and these sounds are embedded and ingrained in my memories. The canned synth sounds, the easy-listening guitar, the smooth-jazz trumpet solos, they're all intimately familiar, and the tape hiss and pitch warble is the sound of me sitting in front of the radio, recording and re-recording songs and commercials until the tapes wore away.
